What you will do

• Build and maintain reliable, scalable backend services for generative AI experiences in China.
• Design and implement APIs, service integrations, and abstractions for AI-powered product capabilities.
• Integrate backend systems with global/local AI services, model providers, and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality AI experiences.
• Ensure APIs and systems comply with privacy and security standards across markets.
• Support experimentation, phased rollouts, bug fixes, performance improvements, and technical debt reduction.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Java and backend fundamentals (REST APIs, microservices, event-driven architecture).
• Experience building and maintaining scalable backend services in production.
• Strong focus on code quality, maintainability, and performance.
• Collaborative mindset for working with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams.
• Growth mindset with eagerness to learn and improve.
• Fluent in English and comfortable in global context.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP), CI/CD pipelines, or AI model integrations.
