What you will do

• Define the technical foundation and architecture for the Ground Mobile Android app.
• Build resilient Kotlin client-side logic using offline-first principles to handle low-connectivity job sites.
• Integrate 360-degree cameras and high-accuracy GPS across a diverse Android device ecosystem.
• Establish Android CI/CD, testing standards, and release tooling from the ground up.
• Prototype innovative ways to visualize the world using ARCore and AI.
• Collaborate with product and design to translate customer frustrations into elegant technical solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience delivering high-complexity production mobile applications.
• Strong command of Kotlin and modern Android development practices.
• Experience with inter-hardware communication via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or similar protocols.
• Proficiency with Android Studio Profiler and Firebase Crashlytics for troubleshooting and observability.
• Must be based in the USA.
• Ability to explain complex technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with ARCore, spatial computing, or 3D capture workflows.
• Familiarity with external camera hardware protocols like OSC, Bluetooth, or Wi-Fi Direct.
• Professional iOS experience to contribute cross-platform.
• Eagerness to learn the backend stack (Python, Tornado, MongoDB).
