Salary: $165,000 - $242,000

What you will do

• Architect and build high-scale, low-latency distributed systems for identity, authentication, and authorization services
• Design and implement customer-facing and internal APIs and backend services
• Optimize system performance for high availability under unpredictable loads
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and TPMs on strategy and roadmap
• Drive operational excellence via on-call rotations, monitoring, alerting, and incident response tooling
• Shape best practices in software engineering with AI-assisted development, code reviews, and maintainable code

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years professional experience developing, operating, and maintaining backend services in production
• Strong proficiency in Go, TypeScript, or Python
• Knowledge of microservices, RESTful/gRPC APIs, asynchronous messaging
• Fluency in observability (logging, metrics, dashboards, alerting)
• Solid understanding of relational databases, schema design, SQL
• Strong commitment to automated testing (unit, integration, E2E) and CI/CD
• Experience with authentication, authorization, security best practices
• Proven debugging of complex performance issues and distributed failures
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes
• Building scalable platform services for large data volumes
• Identity products with OIDC, OAuth2.0, SAML, JWT
• Managing cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP)
• Infrastructure-as-Code tools
