Focus on owning features end-to-end, driving AI adoption across the development lifecycle, and developing user-facing Vue applications.

Location: Remote from anywhere, primary hiring focus on candidates located within the European Union. Anticipated to be performed outside of Ontario.

What you will do

• Build and maintain backend services and APIs in Python using AI-assisted development and automation
• Own features end-to-end from design through production, ensuring quality, performance, and maintainability
• Drive AI adoption by introducing and scaling AI-driven workflows across the development lifecycle
• Identify AI opportunities to reduce manual effort, improve code quality, and enhance reliability
• Develop and support single-page applications using Vue
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, Product Managers, and Engineering Manager for business value and growth

Requirements

• Fluent in English with strong communication skills
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and backend service development
• Proven experience helping teams adopt AI-driven development practices
• Strong experience designing, building, and integrating APIs
• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL and relational databases
• Working knowledge of Docker and Docker Compose; experience with unit and end-to-end testing
• Experience with Django, DRF, or FastAPI; frontend with Vue or React
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
