Senior DevOps Engineer (GCP)

TL;DR

Senior DevOps Engineer (GCP): Architecting, building, and optimizing cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to support modern Composable digital platforms with an accent on scalability, reliability, and security. Focus on implementing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and managing containerized microservices in Google Cloud Platform.

Location: Must be based in Latin America. Candidates in Santiago, Chile can work in a hybrid model; candidates outside Santiago are fully remote. Preferred alignment with PT (Pacific Time) or ET (Eastern Time).

What you will do

• Design and deploy cloud infrastructure components (network, compute, storage, orchestration) using Terraform.
• Lead the creation and management of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and GitLab.
• Manage and optimize GCP, Azure, or AWS platforms to ensure scalability, security, and cost-efficiency.
• Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) during incidents, performing root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
• Mentor junior team members on DevOps best practices and problem resolution.
• Collaborate with developers and QA engineers to promote and integrate a DevOps culture.

Requirements

• English: Strong written and verbal proficiency required.
• Location: Must be based in Latin America.
• 3+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and DevOps.
• Expert proficiency with Terraform and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong experience with at least one major cloud provider (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
• Proficiency in scripting with Python and Shell.
