What you will do

• Lead the development and integration of core engine mechanical components including pistons, crankshafts, cylinder blocks, and valvetrain systems.
• Manage the "Cradle to Grave" delivery process from R&D and concept through to production launch and series support.
• Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure designs meet cost, performance, timing, and feasibility targets.
• Lead proactive problem avoidance via Risk Assessments and DFMEA, and resolve issues during prototype builds and dyno testing.
• Maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOM), managing part numbering and engineering change processes.
• Provide rapid cost estimates and detailed breakdowns to support early concept decisions and sourcing.

Requirements

• Expertise in engine mechanical design, architecture, and performance validation.
• Proficiency in CATIA V5/V6 with strong GD&T application experience.
• Deep knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes such as casting, forging, and machining.
• Experience with SAP for engineering release management and BOM structuring.
• Location: Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Woking, Surrey (UK)
