What you will do

• Provide expert legal guidance on U.S. regulatory expectations, crypto and financial regulations, AML, sanctions, securities, and commodities laws.
• Coordinate with Legal Department, management, U.S. government agencies, and regulatory bodies on litigation and relationships.
• Advise on responses to regulatory investigations, enforcement actions, and compliance reviews impacting AML and sanctions programs.
• Communicate effectively with U.S. regulatory agencies and their agents.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (compliance, risk, business) to address complex U.S. legal and regulatory matters.
• Support regulatory filings, investigations, remediation, and enforcement matters.

Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise with U.S. legal issues, litigation, and contentious regulatory matters, preferably with FinCEN, SEC, CFTC, OFAC, and state regulators.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. AML and sanctions compliance programs with practical experience.
• Deep understanding of U.S. financial products including spot trading, margin trading, futures, and options in crypto.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage complex issues proactively.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills for conveying complex legal concepts.
