What you will do

• Advise product, commercial, and technology teams on the legal and regulatory aspects of launching financial products.
• Support licensing strategy, regulatory applications, and market expansion plans across Europe.
• Provide guidance on European frameworks including MiCAR, PSD2, EMD, and AML.
• Manage corporate governance, employment, privacy, intellectual property, and general commercial contracts.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and effectively manage external counsel.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with demonstrable post-qualification legal experience in-house or in private practice.
• Experience advising fintech companies or regulated financial institutions.
• Sound knowledge of European financial services and payments regulation (MiCAR, PSD2, EMD, AML) and Dutch regulatory frameworks.
• Must be based in or have the right to work in the Netherlands.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to provide commercially focused legal advice in a fast-moving environment.

• Exposure to digital assets, crypto regulation, or Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) models.
• Experience working within a startup or high-growth scale-up environment.
