Data Engineer (iGaming)

TL;DR

Data Engineer (Python/Spark): Building and maintaining robust ETL pipelines and large-scale batch processing workflows for an iGaming platform with an accent on scalability and high-performance data processing. Focus on implementing Lakehouse architectures using Azure Databricks, Snowflake, and Microsoft Fabric to drive data-driven decision-making.

Location: Hybrid (Warsaw, Poland). Candidates must be authorized to work in Poland on a full-time basis without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.

What you will do

• Build, develop, and maintain robust ETL pipelines and large-scale batch processing workflows using Apache Spark and Kafka.
• Work with contemporary data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Snowflake, and Delta Tables in Lakehouse architectures.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability through profiling, validation, and optimization across diverse sources.
• Translate complex business requirements into innovative and efficient technical solutions.
• Collaborate with data scientists and business stakeholders to drive data-driven decision-making.
• Integrate AI/ML concepts to improve analytical capabilities and optimize processes.

Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience working as a Data Engineer.
• Strong proficiency in Python and advanced knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Spark or similar big data processing frameworks.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, or comparable platforms like Snowflake.
• Practical experience working with Delta Tables and an understanding of AI/ML concepts.
• Must be authorized to work in the job posting location (Poland) without visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Up-to-date knowledge of trends in data management, BI tools, and database technologies.
