What you will do
- Develop Waymo's data infrastructure platform to enable plant-scale ML Flywheels for all ML models.
- Collaborate with teams to onboard ML models and LLMs, analyzing data needs, quality, and distributions.
- Improve the efficiency of data storage and sharing mechanisms across different models.
- Deploy and integrate data solutions for distillation, evaluation, dataset generation, and active learning.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong programming skills in C++.
- Proven experience building highly scalable distributed systems.
- Must be based in or able to work onsite in Mountain View, California.
Nice to have
- Passion for building ML infrastructure and developer tools.
- Experience handling datasets on the scale of exabytes.
- Background in building model hosting or inference infrastructure.
- Experience with production services handling high QPS.
