Firmware Engineer Intern (Embedded)

What you will do

• Develop real-time embedded software for digital, analog, power, and motion-control systems in electromechanical machines.
• Design, implement, test, debug, and document embedded software components and applications.
• Participate in design and code reviews and contribute to hardware/software integration efforts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to evaluate design trade-offs and deliver robust solutions.
• Provide schedule estimates, track progress, and communicate status updates to project leads and management.

Requirements

• Completion of at least one year of coursework toward a degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience programming in C and/or C++ in an embedded or low-level development environment.
• Exposure to Linux kernel development or device driver programming.
• Experience with VxWorks or other real-time operating systems (RTOS).
• Background in electromechanical systems, motion control, or robotics.
• Knowledge of Bash scripting or assembly language programming.
