What you will do

• Lead and manage a team of gameplay programmers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support.
• Oversee the design, development, and optimization of gameplay systems, mechanics, and features.
• Collaborate with designers, artists, and producers to define and implement gameplay elements.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure high standards of code quality and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to gameplay mechanics and player controls.
• Drive continuous improvement by implementing new tools and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a leadership or managerial role within a game development team.
• Extensive experience in game development with a deep understanding of gameplay systems and mechanics.
• Strong knowledge of game engines and tools (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity).
• Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills to lead teams and collaborate effectively.
• Ability to mentor and develop junior and mid-level programmers.
• Must be based in or able to work from offices in France, Romania, or Germany

Nice to have

• Experience with Unreal Engine.
• Knowledge of mobile game development.
