What you will do
- Lead and manage a team of gameplay programmers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support.
- Oversee the design, development, and optimization of gameplay systems, mechanics, and features.
- Collaborate with designers, artists, and producers to define and implement gameplay elements.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure high standards of code quality and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to gameplay mechanics and player controls.
- Drive continuous improvement by implementing new tools and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a leadership or managerial role within a game development team.
- Extensive experience in game development with a deep understanding of gameplay systems and mechanics.
- Strong knowledge of game engines and tools (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity).
- Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills to lead teams and collaborate effectively.
- Ability to mentor and develop junior and mid-level programmers.
- Must be based in or able to work from offices in France, Romania, or Germany
Nice to have
- Experience with Unreal Engine.
- Knowledge of mobile game development.
- Knowledge of online multiplayer systems.
