What you will do

• Lead Verification & Validation (V&V) activities across incremental software releases and integrated system baselines.
• Define verification strategies, including coverage targets, traceability, and entry/exit criteria.
• Design and develop robust test cases, including boundary, robustness, and fault injection scenarios.
• Execute formal test events and generate Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) for acceptance and certification.
• Collaborate with Systems, Software, Hardware, and Cyber teams to reduce downstream risk.
• Identify, log, and manage defects through triage and technical reviews of test artefacts.

Requirements

• Proven experience in V&V within complex software-intensive systems.
• Strong background in test planning, test case development, and execution.
• Familiarity with requirements management tools such as DOORS.
• Must be an Australian citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 security clearance.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams.

Nice to have

• Operational or trials experience within a naval or maritime environment.
• Exposure to Defence standards, safety cases, or mission/system assurance frameworks.
