What you will do

• Own product quality throughout the full lifecycle, from early design through release and support.
• Architect, extend, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks for mainframe-based products.
• Partner with developers and product owners to improve testability, usability, and system resilience.
• Validate functional correctness, performance, scalability, failure modes, and operational behavior.
• Apply deep system knowledge to influence product design decisions and prevent defects.
• Mentor junior team members and evolve test strategies as system complexity grows.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with IBM mainframe environments (z/OS).
• Experience designing, building, or extending automated test systems and frameworks.
• Proficiency in one or more scripting or programming languages used for automation.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Perth office, Australia.

Nice to have

• Background in mainframe systems programming or application development.
• Hands-on experience with IMS (applications, transactions, or system interactions).
• Exposure to performance, capacity, or analytics software.
• Experience diagnosing production issues to improve automated test coverage.
