Forward Deployed Engineer (Unstructured AI)

TL;DR

Forward Deployed Engineer (Unstructured AI): Own end-to-end technical delivery of Unstructured AI deployments from first prototype to stable production across enterprise environments with an accent on building and scaling full-stack systems that process large volumes of unstructured content. Focus on embedding with customer teams to integrate into hirify.global stack, scoping work for fast iterations, and codifying repeatable patterns into reusable modules.

Location: Hybrid role based in Brussels office (at least two days per week). Must have work authorization to work in Brussels.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end technical delivery of Unstructured AI deployments from prototype to production.
• Build and scale full-stack systems for processing unstructured content like PDFs, contracts, and reports.
• Embed with customer and field teams to integrate Unstructured AI into their metadata, governance, and security needs.
• Scope work, sequence delivery, remove blockers, and balance trade-offs for fast pilots to production.
• Codify patterns from projects into reusable connectors, modules, or playbooks.
• Feed insights to Product and Research teams and align cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Work authorization to work in Brussels.
• 2+ years software engineering or technical deployment experience, ideally with enterprise integrations or AI data processing.
• Production-grade code in backend (Python, FastAPI).
• Experience with document-processing systems, CI/CD, monitoring, debugging.
• Strong Python for data processing, APIs, integrations; data pipelines, microservices, API design.
• Cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure), IaC (Terraform), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• LLM-based or AI-driven enrichment (classification, extraction, PII detection); metadata systems or data governance.
• Bachelor's in technical field or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Background in data governance, sensitive data detection, or integrations (hirify.global, Databricks, Snowflake).
• Track record of codifying deployment patterns into tools or frameworks.
• Knowledge of security, compliance, model evaluation.
• Hands-on with modern frontend development.
