Cloud Engineer (OpenStack)

TL;DR

Cloud Engineer (OpenStack/Ansible): Developing and enhancing the T-Cloud Public platform based on open-source community software with an accent on hyper-scaler cloud backend operations. Focus on automating infrastructure with common frameworks, managing software-defined networks, and ensuring system quality and stability.

Location: Remote working is only available within Slovakia; office based in Kosice.

Salary: Base salary from €1,500 gross per month + variable part.

What you will do

• Solve complex problems in the daily operation of a hyper-scaler's cloud backend.
• Perform hardware-oriented work at the console level.
• Develop and operate monitoring and quality assurance systems.
• Consistently automate infrastructure using common automation frameworks.
• Collaborate within a team of specialists in an open and trusting environment.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of professional IT experience with a focus on modern cloud technologies.
• Very good knowledge of software-defined networks, routing, firewalls, and physical networks.
• Strong experience in Linux and network-related services.
• Extensive knowledge of infrastructure automation.
• Must be working within the European Union to meet data security and privacy requirements.
• English: Upper Intermediate (B2).

Nice to have

• Experience with OpenStack.
• Programming experience in open-source projects.
