iOS Engineer

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; candidates must already be based in the Netherlands. Hybrid work with two days per week in the office.

Salary: EUR 69,000–82,000 gross per year, including 8% holiday allowance, based on 40 hours per week.

What you will do

• Implement new features, improve existing functionality, and maintain the iOS app.
• Work closely with the Lead iOS Engineer and the iOS team.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and engineers in a dedicated Product Pillar team.
• Improve the app’s maintainability, resiliency, and extensibility while addressing or preventing technical debt.
• Design and improve complex user interfaces, architecture, refactoring, performance, and scalability aspects of the app.

Requirements

• At least 3–5 years of hands-on iOS development experience.
• Experience working in an agile team environment.
• A pragmatic approach to problem-solving and willingness to tackle challenges in UI, architecture, and legacy-code refactoring.
• Strong iOS development background with Swift; familiarity with legacy Objective-C code.
• Extensive experience with large apps published in the App Store.
• In-depth knowledge of UIKit and SwiftUI, with experience building complex user interfaces.
• Experience writing and debugging multithreading code using GCD, Combine, and Swift Concurrency.
• Knowledge of Realm, Xcode Instruments, CI/CD pipelines, Fastlane, and GitHub Actions.
• Experience using AI tools such as Claude Code and ChatGPT Codex to improve development speed, code quality, and debugging efficiency.
• Already based in the Netherlands.

• Experience with Swift Package Manager.
