Salary: $175,000 - $200,000 + equity

What you will do

• Deliver solar array electrical and mechanical architecture and system design.
• Develop performance degradation characterization and modeling across environment variations.
• Lead design reviews and drive development schedules with long-term projections.
• Collaborate with avionics, structures, and software teams to define system requirements and qualification testing.
• Evaluate and select manufacturing equipment for specialty processes.
• Partner with production to develop work instructions and end-of-line tests to ensure successful builds.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Materials Science, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in the design, manufacture, and test of solar arrays for space applications.
• Experience with AIAA S111/S112, SMC-S-016, NASA-STD-5017, and NASA-STD-4005.
• Expertise in designing solar arrays resilient to radiation environments and understanding failure modes of complex mechanical systems in space.
• Must be a "U.S. Person" as defined by ITAR (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, etc.).
