Company

hirify.global develops communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms.

What you will do

  • Define, implement, and verify satellite avionics systems and maintain the C&DH subsystem architecture and interfaces.
  • Own subsystem-level analysis, make-buy trades, trade studies for purchased items, and technical vendor interactions.
  • Design and execute box-level and subsystem-level plans for design verification, qualification, and acceptance testing.
  • Represent C&DH with satellite systems, mechanical, software, and AI&T teams while developing scalable in-house solutions.
  • Drive hardware iteration and delivery, prepare technical communications for leadership and executives, and support on-orbit operations.
  • Deliver reliable, performant space avionics systems for spaceflight missions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering from an accredited university.
  • At least 5 years of industry experience in spacecraft electrical system design, analysis, manufacturing, testing, and troubleshooting; a Master's degree may count as two years of experience.
  • Strong understanding of electronics and electrical engineering fundamentals.
  • Experience with spacecraft electrical subsystems including processors, digital I/O, timing signals, power rails, and grounding.
  • Experience defining electrical ICDs and requirements, digital I/O standards, power interfaces, connectors, and cabling.
  • Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, electronic loads, and signal generators to debug, test, and validate high-reliability electronics.
  • Experience with spacecraft data and memory budgets, telemetry, flight software controls, and electronics thermal management.
  • Exposure to the space electronics supply chain, production issues, test processes, and flight operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Python, C++, MATLAB, or other programming languages.
  • Experience with rapid prototyping, iteration, and flight delivery cycles.
  • Experience evaluating and testing hardware for TID, SEE, EMI, and related effects.
  • Familiarity with thermal, shock, vibration, and TVAC environmental testing.

Culture & Benefits

  • Full-time employment in a dynamic, cross-functional, hands-on, and autonomous environment.
  • Company stock options and benefits including health, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, life, disability, and retirement plans.
  • Work with a small satellite team to develop spacecraft and put them into orbit.
  • Equal opportunity employment; unsolicited resumes from contract agencies or search firms are not accepted.
