Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer (Spector)

Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer (Spector): Drive quality improvement and risk mitigation initiatives with suppliers and contract manufacturers with an accent on audits, corrective actions, and process controls. Location: US - MA - Beverly / customer site in Westboro, MA (in-office role, when not traveling). Ability to travel domestically and internationally (targeting 25% with bursts to 50%).

Salary: $92,000-$116,000 plus bonus opportunity.

What you will do

• Enable cost reduction and part quality improvements in partnership with supply chain and engineering.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to select and improve suppliers and contract manufacturers.
• Create quality improvement plans, perform audits, implement corrective actions, and generate metrics/reports.
• Execute product quality plans on critical parts, validate process flows, pFMEAs, control plans, MSA, and SPC.
• Review supplier specifications and drawings with engineering to reduce deviations and improve inspections.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies for new product launches and manage changes in materials/processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in technical field + 5 years experience as Supplier Quality, Quality, or Manufacturing Engineer (or MS + 3 years).
• Helpful certifications: ASQ QE, CQM/OE, Lead Auditor, QA, CSQP, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
• Knowledge of electro-mechanical commodities preferred.
• Strong initiative, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• History of root cause corrective actions and assertive team collaboration.

Nice to have

• ASQ or Six Sigma certifications.
• Experience with SSQA principles and automated data management.
