What you will do

• Partner with stakeholders to incorporate GRC provisions into customer/vendor content, portals, DPAs, playbooks, and identify automation opportunities.
• Monitor data protection, cyber, and AI regulations (GDPR, EU AI Act, etc.), assess applicability, and translate into controls, contracts, and processes.
• Coordinate audits/assessments (PIA, DPIA, TIA, AI impact), maintain risk registers, and evolve artifacts for ISO 27701/42001 compliance.
• Build negotiation playbooks, risk matrices, data maps, and self-service mechanisms to standardize workflows and reduce escalations.
• Review/negotiate client/third-party agreements, evaluate third-party compliance, and handle risk exceptions for sales and product delivery.
• Champion new technology/policy, evaluate tools for automation, and support governance communications and GRC charter initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's in computer science, engineering, law, or public policy
• CIPP/E certification required
• A few years in data governance, privacy, or AI governance/policy
• Experience negotiating commercial agreements with data protection, AI terms, cross-border transfers
• Significant experience in IT, infosec, operational risk in enterprise AI platforms and cloud environments
• Expert knowledge of global data protection/AI regulations (GDPR, CCPA, EU AI Act, ISO 27701/42001) and cross-border transfers
• Experience scaling governance programs via operating models, playbooks, and KPIs
• Comfort with ambiguity in evolving initiatives

Nice to have

• Juris Doctor or Master's in Law
• Project management expertise
• Experience with data governance platforms (OneTrust), vendor risk systems, CLM (Ironclad), ServiceNow
• EMEA multi-jurisdiction experience
• Privacy Enhancing Technologies or agentic AI governance
• E-discovery or legal operations expertise
