What you will do

• Design and evolve AWS-based database deployments with a focus on scaling and automation.
• Optimize database performance by proactively identifying bottlenecks and tuning configurations.
• Develop and test robust, reproducible backup and disaster recovery processes.
• Build scalable solutions for complex technical challenges aligning with infrastructure best practices.
• Promote engineering excellence and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience managing database infrastructure in AWS (Aurora MySQL, Aurora Postgres, DynamoDB, Lambda, KMS, IAM).
• Deep understanding of SQL and specific features of MySQL and/or PostgreSQL.
• Ability to implement scripts and glue code in bash, python, or go.
• Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Proven experience scaling critical cloud infrastructure in production environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with Metabase, Opensearch, or MongoDB Atlas.
