Data Analyst - Strategic Marketing

TL;DR

Data Analyst (Strategic Marketing): Generate insights, analysis, and recommendations to scale marketing initiatives and drive user growth with an accent on performance measurement, experimentation, and strategic deep-dives. Focus on designing experiments, identifying growth opportunities across the marketing funnel, and presenting to stakeholders.

Location: Cape Town, South Africa (hybrid: minimum 2 days per week in-office)

What you will do

• Partner with Marketing, Product, and Commercial teams to generate insights shaping marketing strategy and decision-making.
• Design and analyze experiments to improve user experience, volume, and value generation.
• Conduct deep-dive strategic analyses to identify growth opportunities across the marketing funnel.
• Present analysis and recommendations to stakeholders at various levels.

Requirements

• SQL and Excel skills (must-have)
• Experience with Domo or other data visualization tools like Tableau
• Strong critical thinking to evaluate data and draw conclusions
• Strong quantitative and numerical skills
• Ability to plan and prioritize workload in a global analytics team
• Desire to learn and collaborate

Nice to have

• Knowledge of dbt, Python, and analytical tools like Amplitude
