TL;DR

Staff Software Engineer (Security): Building and maintaining identity infrastructure and access management systems for a major financial platform with an accent on authentication, authorization, and certificate lifecycle management. Location: Based in Bellevue, WA with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week

What you will do

  • Design and build authentication and authorization systems for internal services and customer-facing applications
  • Lead the technical direction and scaling of proprietary access management platforms to support high traffic and low latency
  • Develop secure access patterns and monitoring systems for AI and machine learning workflows
  • Build and maintain certificate lifecycle management and public key infrastructure (PKI) systems with strong automation
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, product, and data engineering to integrate secure access controls across the platform

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience building backend or security systems, specifically identity and access management (IAM) at scale
  • Expertise with authentication protocols such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, or WebAuthn
  • Strong programming skills in Go, Python, or Rust
  • Experience operating distributed systems in Kubernetes and AWS environments
  • Ability to design highly available systems with clear performance and reliability goals
  • Must be based in or able to work from the Bellevue, WA office
