Director of Engineering (EPC)

A leading EPC contractor is seeking a Director of Engineering to take full ownership of the engineering function and drive technological excellence across complex downstream projects.

This is a high-impact leadership role with direct influence on business strategy, project execution, and the company’s long-term technological positioning.

1️⃣
* Take full control over the engineering function (team of up to 60 FTE)
* Act as the final authority on key technical and engineering decisions
* Build and execute a forward-looking technology and engineering strategy
* Drive the development of in-house engineering solutions and competitive advantages
* Ensure excellence across the full EPC lifecycle: engineering, procurement, construction support, commissioning & service
* Establish and enforce best-in-class engineering standards and quality control
* Play a critical role in winning new business through proposal leadership and technical credibility

2️⃣What We’re Looking For

* Extensive leadership experience within a top-tier EPC contractor
* Strong track record in downstream sectors: refining, petrochemicals, gas processing
* Proven ability to lead large engineering teams and deliver complex capital projects
* Strategic mindset combined with hands-on technical authority
* Experience influencing executive-level decisions and business outcomes
* English: B2+ / Upper-Intermediate or higher
