Location: Hybrid (Livingston, NJ; New York, NY; Sunnyvale, CA; Bellevue, WA). Remote work may be considered for candidates located more than 30 miles from an office.

Salary: $165,000 – $242,000 base

What you will do

• Set technical direction for DevEx platform subsystems and drive architectural decisions for CI pipelines and artifact management.
• Design and build core services powering developer productivity, including pipeline services and ephemeral development environments.
• Architect and evolve an agentic developer platform to enable AI-native development delegation.
• Scale DevEx systems to reliably serve thousands of application instances across 40+ data centers.
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers, own design reviews, and establish high-quality engineering patterns.
• Lead post-mortems and drive continuous improvement cycles to harden systems against failure.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience building production platforms, developer tooling, or delivery infrastructure.
• Strong systems design skills with expertise in distributed services and event-driven architectures.
• Proficiency in Go or Python with production experience in cloud-native environments.
• Deep experience with Kubernetes, including workload packaging and scheduling.
• Must be a U.S. person (citizen, national, green card holder, refugee, or asylee) to comply with U.S. Government export regulations.
• Proven track record of setting technical direction and mentoring engineers.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale CI tools such as GitHub Actions, Buildkite, or Bazel.
• Experience designing progressive delivery systems, SLO-based quality gates, or custom Kubernetes operators.
• Hands-on experience with artifact management systems like JFrog Artifactory or Cloudsmith.
• Direct experience building agentic systems, including MCP servers and tool-augmented LLM workflows.
