TL;DR

Location: Hybrid in Aachen or Ulm, Germany

What you will do

  • Analyze product requirements and define framework configuration for specific customer projects.
  • Implement high-level, customer-specific speech dialog interfaces using Android infrastructure and AIDL.
  • Develop dependencies between Android native interfaces, speech assistants, and cloud-based components.
  • Perform and optimize memory, CPU, and latency measurements on target platforms.
  • Collaborate with R&D and project teams for defect reproduction and localization.
  • Design performant systems focusing on application lifecycle management and startup time optimization.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of professional work experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Android, Java, Kotlin, and C/C++.
  • Detailed understanding of Android architecture, including AOSP, AIDL, Binder, and System Services.
  • Experience with Python scripting.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and German.
  • Willingness to travel for short trips.

Nice to have

  • Experience with speech recognition or related voice technologies.
  • Knowledge of ASPICE and Agile (SCRUM) methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Git, GitLab, Artifactory, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Experience with Unit Test frameworks like Google Test and Jest.
