Technical Support Engineer (Java)

TL;DR

Technical Support Engineer (Java): Providing application and production support for Java-based systems with an accent on CI/CD pipelines and system observability. What you will do

• Provide technical application and production support for Java-based environments.
• Monitor system observability and health using tools like Grafana.
• Manage API testing and messaging workflows using Postman and RabbitMQ.
• Handle incident, change, and problem management via Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow.
• Maintain and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins and Git.
• Utilize scheduling tools like Control-M for operational stability.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in application support, production support, or Java-based technical roles.
• Proficiency in Java 8+ and Shell Scripting.
• Strong understanding of SQL databases, specifically Oracle or similar.
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools such as Jenkins and Git.
• English: B2 level or above required.
• Must be based in Portugal with a valid work permit or EU citizenship.

Nice to have

• Fluency in French (B2 level or above).
• Experience with XL Release and XL Deploy.
• Knowledge of jBoss and Apache Tomcat application servers.
• Understanding of DevSecOps practices.
