Fullstack Engineer (React/Node.js)

TL;DR

Fullstack Engineer (React/Node.js): Developing and optimizing a customer portal for background screening services with an accent on UI experience, AWS infrastructure, and API layers. Focus on building full-stack features, implementing CI/CD pipelines with automation tests, and ensuring system reliability through monitoring and on-call support.

Location: Hybrid in Krakow, Poland. Must be within commuting distance to the Poland Office and available to work 5pm-8pm CEST to collaborate with the US team.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and test new features across the entire application stack.
• Implement unit, integration, and UI automation tests within the CI pipeline.
• Collaborate via code reviews and support production deliveries.
• Create support scripts for migrations and one-off tasks.
• Manage individual priorities and deadlines using a Kanban workflow.
• Participate in a regular team on-call rotation to respond to application outages.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with React.js for UI and Node.js for backend applications.
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience supporting mission-critical applications in a production environment.
• Must be based within commuting distance to the Krakow office for hybrid work (2-3 days per week).

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS stacks (S3, SQS, CloudFront, Lambda, DynamoDB, ECS, etc.).
• UI testing experience using Cypress and React Testing Library (RTL).
• Proficiency using Git in a collaborative development environment.
