What you will do

• Lead animation development for characters and gameplay features from concept to final implementation.
• Define and maintain high-quality animation standards for clarity, personality, and gameplay readability.
• Provide constructive feedback to external animation studios to ensure consistency with Clash Royale style.
• Collaborate with designers, artists, and engineers to align animations with mechanics, timing, and constraints.
• Oversee workflows, schedules, and deliveries across internal and external partners.
• Act as creative owner for animation, identifying improvements to push the game forward.

Requirements

• 6+ years professional experience as animator with strong portfolio in stylized character and gameplay animation.
• Solid experience in gameplay animation, emphasizing stylized keyframe animation.
• Experience directing external animation studios or contractors.
• Excellent proficiency in Maya, including technical knowledge and basic rigging understanding.
• Strong sense of timing, posing, weight, and readability for top-down, fast-paced gameplay.
• Clear communicator able to give actionable creative feedback.
• Experience with animation pipelines, workflows, and game engine implementation.
