What you will do
- Define and maintain safety concepts for e-DCT transmission systems in accordance with ISO 26262 standards.
- Execute and validate functional safety analyses, including hazard analysis, risk assessment, DFMEA, FTA, and FMEDA for embedded hardware and software.
- Guide and support FuSa specialists and engineers in the execution of safety activities.
- Ensure FuSa requirements and designs are correctly applied across relevant domains and by suppliers.
- Monitor and report on FuSa compliance, ensuring all necessary documentation is provided in the safety case.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives and ensure technical compliance of deliverables.
Requirements
- Professional experience in functional safety engineering with a specific focus on automotive applications.
- Proven expertise in safety concepts, hazard analysis, risk assessment, and tools such as DFMEA, FTA, and FMEDA.
- Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles, hardware/software design concepts, and architecture modeling tools.
- Master of Science in Automotive, Electrical, or Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Fluent English proficiency.
- Ability to work on-site in Sint-Truiden, Belgium.
