What you will do

• Define framework configurations and setup by analyzing product requirements in coordination with R&D.
• Implement high-level, customer-specific speech dialog interfaces using Android infrastructure and AIDL.
• Analyze and implement dependencies to Android native interfaces and cloud-based components.
• Perform memory and CPU measurements to improve latency and resource consumption on target platforms.
• Collaborate with project teams to localize and reproduce defects.
• Develop Android AIDL interfaces and optimize startup time and application lifecycle management.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of professional work experience.
• Strong expertise in Android, Java, Kotlin, and C/C++.
• Deep understanding of Android architecture, including AIDL, Binder, Lifecycle, System Services, and AOSP.
• Proficiency in Python scripting.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and German.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid setup in Aachen or Ulm, Germany.

Nice to have

• Experience with Source control tools like Git/GitLab and Artifactory.
• Knowledge of Embedded software development and Unit Test Frameworks (Google Test, Jest).
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).
• Experience with Speech recognition technologies, Agile/SCRUM, and ASPICE.
