What you will do

• Develop full-stack features using C#, .NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL.
• Write and optimize hand-crafted SQL queries to ensure high performance.
• Design and implement event-driven workflows using Event Store and enhance search with ElasticSearch.
• Modernize platform components to .NET 8+ and Svelte.js, including containerized deployments.
• Automate infrastructure using Pulumi and Azure DevOps.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and maintain engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of varied software engineering experience, ideally including scalable systems.
• Strong experience with C#/.NET, including async/await, memory management, and resource handling.
• Deep knowledge of SQL Server, including query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, Flexbox, and CSS Grid.
• Experience with distributed systems, monoliths, or microservices.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment in London, UK.

Nice to have

• Exposure to ElasticSearch, Event Store, Neo4j, InfluxDB, Seq, or Power BI.
• Experience with micro-ORMs such as PetaPoco.
• Cloud infrastructure experience, especially Azure.
• Contributions to open-source projects or personal coding projects.
• Strong grasp of clean code principles, OOP design, and software patterns.
