Accounts Payable Specialist

TL;DR

Accounts Payable Specialist: Accurate entry and timely payment of domestic and international vendor invoices with an accent on vendor onboarding, relationship maintenance, and financial accuracy. Focus on processing approvals, tracking purchase orders, performing month-end close duties, and supporting audits and budget reviews.

Location: Hybrid in Brno, Czechia (3 days per week in office). Must be based in the Czech Republic and have sponsorship to live and work there.

What you will do

• Enter vendor invoices into the system with proper approvals and ledger details for ACH and wire payments.
• Process new vendors by collecting required documentation.
• Maintain vendor relationships through timely payments, inquiry responses, and discrepancy resolutions.
• Track purchase orders for accruals and invoice matching.
• Collaborate with approvers on prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, and other treatments.
• Handle month-end close tasks including accruals, reclasses, and journal entries.
• Assist with monthly budget reviews and annual audit documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 2 years accounts payable experience.
• Basic understanding of US GAAP.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong English skills.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Ability to work in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience working with multiple foreign currencies.
• Command of Polish (reading).
