Solution Engineer Manager (Borders)

What you will do

• Design and coordinate complex solutions for government, border management, and national security customers in mission-critical environments.
• Lead technical pre-sales activities, including the preparation of RFIs, RFPs, and competitive dialogue for high-value government contracts.
• Develop high-level and detailed design documentation (HLD/LLD) while owning technical risk and feasibility.
• Conduct technical workshops with senior government and operational stakeholders to present hirify.global’s product portfolios.
• Collaborate with SMEs, architects, and product engineering teams to align designs with product roadmaps and security frameworks.
• Evaluate emerging technologies in biometrics, IAM, and data platforms to drive scalability and growth.

Requirements

• 6–8 years of experience in IT, Telecom, or Air Transport in a technical pre-sales or lead architect role.
• BS degree in Engineering Computer Technologies or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven track record in designing large-scale, multi-system integrations for high-availability environments.
• Deep understanding of solution architecture and its impact across various IT disciplines.
• Knowledge of data protection laws, including GDPR and the handling of sensitive biometric data.
• Must be based in or be able to work from Amman, Jordan or Lisbon, Portugal.

Nice to have

• Experience in aviation, border management, immigration, or law enforcement solutions.
• TOGAF or ITIL certifications.
• Experience with cloud or hybrid architectures and international border standards.
