What you will do

• Design and maintain training data recipes, including sourcing, cleaning, labeling workflows, and versioning.
• Develop evaluation frameworks, gold sets, and regression suites to drive continuous quality improvements.
• Optimize end-to-end training and inference performance to meet latency, throughput, and cost targets.
• Profile system bottlenecks related to data loading, GPU utilization, and kernel efficiency.
• Implement optimizations such as batching, quantization, mixed precision, and model distillation.
• Collaborate with AI researchers and product managers to deliver high-impact solutions for products like MAI-Voice and MAI-Transcribe.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience.
• Experience building and maintaining training data pipelines (ingestion, cleaning, labeling, QA).
• Experience designing evaluation frameworks and performing systematic error analysis.
• Strong experimentation skills, including ablations and hypothesis-driven iteration.
• Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code with a focus on performance and security.
• Must be based in or have valid work authorization for Switzerland.

• PhD in a relevant technical field.
