Lead Developer (Node.js/Javascript)

TL;DR

Lead Developer (Node.js/JavaScript): Leading software delivery for clients by combining strategic technical vision with hands-on development with an accent on TDD, continuous delivery, and clean code. Location: Onsite in Bangkok, Thailand (Expected to work from office or client site 5 days a week)

What you will do

• Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, negotiating and implementing technical visions.
• Champion and apply best practices including TDD, pair programming, and design patterns.
• Oversee the full software delivery lifecycle from ideation to production.
• Design pragmatic technical solutions and choose appropriate technologies based on client constraints.
• Implement DevSecOps tools and practices to shift security left in the development process.
• Mentor and coach developers, fostering an inclusive and supportive team culture.

Requirements

• Proficiency in two or more languages (e.g., JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Kotlin, Ruby, or C#).
• Proven experience leading software teams using Agile, Lean, or Continuous delivery.
• Strong knowledge of TDD, continuous integration, and infrastructure automation.
• Ability to translate complex business needs into actionable software requirements.
• Experience influencing stakeholders and advocating for technical excellence.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Bangkok, Thailand

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of functional programming, event-driven architecture, or platform engineering.
