What you will do

• Write clean, maintainable code across the backend and infrastructure stack.
• Own features end-to-end from design through deployment for Shopkeeper (MES) and Assembly Dashboards.
• Design and implement solutions for moderately complex engineering problems.
• Mentor junior engineers through pairing, reviews, and technical guidance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, hardware engineers, and operations.
• Contribute to technical discussions, architecture reviews, and engineering standards.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Proficiency in at least two of: Python, FastAPI, TypeScript, React, Vue, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes.
• Demonstrated ability to independently design and ship features in a production environment.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in San Francisco, California.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES), factory automation, or industrial software.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Kustomize, or GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with event-driven architectures, WebSockets, or real-time systems.
• Background in AWS services such as S3, IoT Core, SSM, EKS, and CodePipeline.
