What you will do

  • Develop price elasticity, dynamic pricing, and margin optimization models using econometric techniques and ML.
  • Build causal inference and promotion ROI models to recommend optimal promotions, timing, and segments.
  • Implement models in Python with data pipelines (Airflow, Spark) and deploy to production (AWS/GCP/Azure) with MLOps.
  • Mentor data scientists, conduct code reviews, and set technical standards.
  • Translate model insights into actionable recommendations for commercial teams and present to C-suite.
  • Design A/B tests, build dashboards (Tableau, Power BI), and partner with regional teams on market dynamics.

Requirements

  • Based in Madrid or Milan with hybrid flexibility
  • MS/PhD in quantitative field or Bachelor's +8 years data science; expert Python (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, statsmodels), advanced SQL.
  • 6+ years data science, 3+ years in pricing/revenue optimization; hands-on production ML deployment.
  • Strong statistics/econometrics, ML fundamentals, causal inference, experimentation.
  • ML engineering: cloud platforms, MLOps; excellent English communication for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven business impact in pricing models (€/$ millions revenue/margin).

Nice to have

  • PhD in Economics/Operations Research focused on pricing.
  • 8+ years experience progressing to lead/principal; top-tier tech or high-growth startups.
  • Large-scale pricing systems (billions GMV); reinforcement learning for pricing.
