Accountant

Location: On-site in Almaty, Kazakhstan; working hours are 12pm–10pm KZ time.

What you will do

• Manage journal entries, reconciliations, accounts receivable and payable, general ledger operations, and full-cycle bookkeeping.
• Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, payroll calculation, tax compliance, and statutory reporting.
• Prepare reports through the Cabinet of Taxpayer, Astana Hub, National Bank, and National Statistics systems.
• Manage capitalization and allocation of payroll, direct overheads, CAPEX, revenue, and expenses across platforms, clusters, and projects.
• Maintain intracompany transaction separation, PPPD codes, and КУП/НУП classifications.
• Develop accounting policies, efficiency metrics, reporting requirements, and Astana Hub compliance controls.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with 1C Accounting and experience with 1C ZUP.
• Practical experience using the Cabinet of Taxpayer and preparing Kazakhstan tax forms and statutory reports.
• Solid understanding of Kazakhstan tax legislation and accounting regulations.
• Experience with payroll, compliance, full-cycle bookkeeping, Excel, and accounting systems.
• Professional working proficiency in Russian, Kazakh, and English.
• Availability for on-site work in the Almaty office and 12pm–10pm KZ working hours.
