TL;DR

GCP Data Platform Engineer (GCP): Building and optimizing high-volume data ingestion pipelines and frameworks on GCP with an accent on automation, scalability, and data quality. Focus on migrating on-premise analytics to a cloud lakehouse architecture and creating a foundation for AI/LLM driven solutions.

Location: Hybrid (2-3 days a week in the office) in Warsaw, Poland

hirify.global is a major telecommunications provider undergoing a strategic data transformation to migrate its analytics to GCP.

What you will do

  • Develop reusable data processing and testing frameworks on GCP using BigQuery, Dataflow, and Composer.
  • Build and maintain batch and streaming ingestion pipelines from Kafka, APIs, and databases.
  • Implement automated tests and data quality checks to ensure pipeline reliability.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to provide high-quality, well-documented datasets.
  • Optimize and secure data pipelines according to data governance and compliance standards.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Platform Engineer, preferably within a GCP environment.
  • Proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform or Terragrunt.
  • Experience building data lakehouse architectures and managing large-scale cloud migrations.
  • Very good command of English (spoken and written).
  • Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Warsaw, Poland.

Nice to have

  • Degree in Computer Science.
  • Experience with Spark, Scala, or Java.
  • Knowledge of data governance, metadata, and data quality tools.
  • Experience collaborating directly with business stakeholders.
