Junior Software Engineer (Virtualization/Distributed Systems)

TL;DR

Junior Software Engineer (Virtualization/Distributed Systems) (C++/Go/Java/Python): Developing the Acropolis Hypervisor (AHV) and shaping software-defined datacenter solutions with an accent on distributed systems design and virtual machine management. Focus on implementing innovative solutions for product requirements and ensuring the reliability and scalability of cloud infrastructure.

Location: Hybrid in Belgrade, Serbia (minimum 3 days onsite per week)

What you will do

• Develop expertise in AHV virtual machine management and the control plane.
• Design and develop scalable distributed systems.
• Create innovative solutions to meet complex product requirements.
• Collaborate with development, testing, and product management teams to deliver high-quality products.
• Engage with customers and support teams to resolve critical production issues.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python, Golang, Java, and/or C++.
• Extensive knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and operating system fundamentals.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Up to 2 years of industry experience.
• Must be based in Belgrade, Serbia for a hybrid work arrangement (min. 3 days onsite)

Nice to have

• Experience with services development in a cloud environment.
• Prior experience working with hypervisors.
