What you will do

• Design and maintain backend services and APIs using Python and FastAPI.
• Develop core data capabilities including data catalogues, domain models, and sharing workflows.
• Translate architectural designs into scalable, maintainable, and secure production-grade code.
• Execute testing strategies using TDD, unit, and integration tests.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, QA, and architects.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical design decisions.

Requirements

• EU citizenship is mandatory.
• Must be based in the European Union.
• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in backend software development.
• Advanced Python proficiency with FastAPI, async programming, and OOP.
• Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch).
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes basics, and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLM frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex and RAG pipelines.
• Knowledge of metadata standards (Dublin Core, ISO 19115).
• Experience with Microsoft Azure (Entra ID, DevOps, Key Vault).
• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
