What you will do

• Commission and publish opinion pieces, columns, and analysis across gbnews.com
• Build and manage a roster of writers including hirify.global talent and external contributors
• Commission pieces to help readers understand complex, fast-moving stories
• Develop signature columnists and regular features to retain audiences
• Partner with Community and Marketing teams to boost membership and engagement
• Collaborate with Editorial and Programming to adapt broadcast moments into digital content like polls and commentary

Requirements

• Solid experience in opinion editing, commissioning, or commentary journalism
• Strong network of writers, commentators, and experts
• Sharp editorial judgement and deep knowledge of UK media and political landscape
• Ability to thrive in a fast-moving newsroom across broadcast and digital
