TL;DR

Software Engineer Assistant (Scala/TypeScript): Researching, developing, and deploying experiments and features for a high-traffic omnichannel advertising platform with an accent on scalability and low-latency performance. Focus on optimizing auction resolution algorithms and building efficient web products in a distributed systems environment.

Location: Montpellier, France. Hybrid (2 days remote per week).

What you will do

  • Collaborate with software engineers and data scientists to develop high-impact features and experiments.
  • Design, develop, test, and autonomously monitor code in production.
  • Work with Engineering and Product Managers to define project frames and ensure execution.
  • Propose and implement new technologies and architectures to improve engineering processes.
  • Facilitate communication across internal and external teams to provide relevant business solutions.

Requirements

  • Strong programming abilities with a focus on architecture, performance, and maintainability.
  • Familiarity with high-throughput distributed systems and processing large amounts of data.
  • Analytical mindset, preferring proof-of-concept validation before large-scale development.
  • Experience with multiple shipped software engineering projects.
  • Knowledge of production practices, including Release, Observability, and Troubleshooting.
  • English: CV must be submitted in English.
  • Location: Must be based in or able to relocate to Montpellier, France.
