TL;DR

Level Artist (Gamedev): Creating immersive and optimized game environments by building levels from 3D assets and modular kits with an accent on visual storytelling and performance. Focus on collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless gameplay and maintaining high visual standards within technical constraints.

Location: Hybrid (Kyiv) or Remote (within Ukraine). Not eligible for relocation.

What you will do

• Build game levels using pre-made 3D assets and modular kits.
• Create textures and decals using Adobe Photoshop.
• Collaborate with the Art Director to develop the mood and storytelling of locations.
• Optimize levels to ensure they meet technical and performance requirements.
• Coordinate with designers, VFX artists, and engineers for seamless gameplay.
• Maintain high visual standards while balancing technical constraints.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Level Artist or Environment Artist.
• Strong understanding of art fundamentals: color, composition, contrast, depth, and scale.
• Hands-on experience with game engines such as Unreal Engine, Unity, or proprietary tools.
• Knowledge of optimization techniques for in-game environments.
• Must be based in Ukraine.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Substance tools and AI tools.
• Familiarity with the World of Tanks universe and gameplay.
