Salary: $100,000 – $140,000 per year

What you will do

• Conduct site inspections to determine the cause, origin, and extent of structural damage.
• Evaluate failure modes and contributing factors resulting from storms, fires, explosions, and design defects.
• Develop clear, well-supported conclusions and produce high-quality technical reports and documentation.
• Manage professional communications with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to drive project resolution.
• Perform physical fieldwork, including confined space entry and roof inspections.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams of experts while working independently from a home office.

Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship or restrictions.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in MN required, or eligible by reciprocity.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• 2+ years of forensic engineering experience preferred.
• Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills for report generation and client interaction.
• Ability to perform physical labor, including carrying ladders and operating field equipment.

Nice to have

• Master of Science Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Experience acting as an Expert Witness.
