What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain Android mobile applications for the Ring ecosystem.
• Build and scale backend services, APIs, and microservices to support mobile functionality.
• Lead the architecture and design of new features from conception to launch.
• Prototype new technologies and evaluate technical feasibility in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Drive improvements in engineering processes and tools to increase team effectiveness.
• Participate in an agile development process to deliver high-quality, scalable software.

Requirements

• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
• Proficiency in Android development using Kotlin.
• Expertise in Jetpack Compose, Android Jetpack (Room, Navigation, ViewModel), Coroutines, and MVVM/MVI patterns.
• Experience with dependency injection (Hilt/Dagger) and modularization of large-scale applications.
• Strong background in API design, cloud architecture, and service-oriented architecture (SOA).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, unit/UI testing frameworks, and Google Play Store release management.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification.
• Deep understanding of the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including operations and code reviews.
• Proficiency with Git and general mobile platform design principles.
