What you will do

• Build high-quality, scalable Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Implement and optimize the Android Bluetooth stack (BLE) for efficient wearable data transmission.
• Ensure smooth real-time data processing, low latency, and optimal power management.
• Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and firmware developers for a seamless product experience.
• Design modular and maintainable code following Modern Android Development (MAD) and Clean Architecture.
• Write unit and UI tests (Espresso/Compose Test) and optimize performance using Android Vitals.

Requirements

• Deep proficiency in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Expertise in Kotlin concurrency, structured concurrency, and asynchronous data streams.
• Skill in profiling CPU, memory, and battery consumption using Android Studio Profilers.
• Knowledge of SQLite, Room, and reactive data queries.
• Experience with Clean Architecture, MVVM/MVI, and Hilt/Dagger for DI.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid from Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Nice to have

• Experience with the Android Bluetooth (BLE) stack, connection stability, and sensor data.
• Experience with Health Connect, Google Fit, or similar health-focused APIs.
• Knowledge of the traditional View system and XML.
