Technical Supervisor

TL;DR

Technical Supervisor (Manufacturing): Support smooth and efficient running of manufacturing section with an accent on technical setups, procedural adherence, and team management. Focus on troubleshooting processes, optimizing efficiency, minimizing waste and downtime, and performing root cause analysis.

Location: Onsite in Zejtun, Malta. Able to work on a three-shift basis.

What you will do

• Compile line documentation and carry out basic storekeeping duties including specification sheets, line layouts, and work instructions.
• Handle administrative tasks such as shift handovers, emailing reports, Excel reports, and using MES ERP systems.
• Prioritize employee safety, adhere to H&S procedures, production, and quality procedures.
• Execute technical skills like setup and cleaning of hot foil printing, pad printing, silkscreen printing, ultrasonic welding, and basic automation interventions.
• Understand and execute production, sorting, and shipment plans while maintaining housekeeping and 5S principles.
• Maximize efficiency, minimize rejection, waste, LRR, and downtime through troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Manage shift employees, foster positive relationships between shifts, and apply business acumen for strategic decision-making.

Requirements

• Diploma level education at MQF level 4 (preferred).
• 5 years’ experience in a similar post within a manufacturing environment.
• Computer literacy, basic mathematical knowledge, and command of Microsoft Office; ERP systems experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Military Standards and AQL.
• Able to work on a three-shift basis.
